Bus Carrying Karachi Picnickers Overturns on Way to Keenjhar, 20 Injured

On Sunday A picnickers carrying bus from Karachi to Keenjhar Lake overturned near Chhato Chand, leaving 20 people injured, including women and children.

As per local people, the bus lost control due to uncontrolled driving and flipped over. Local residents quickly came to help and took the injured to Thatta Civil Hospital for first aid. Some seriously hurt passengers were later transferred to hospitals in Karachi.

The injured patients’ relatives criticized the hospital did not have a Rescue 1122 ambulance on site, and said some patients had to be taken in private vehicles. They further alleged that many injured people waited over two hours before receiving medical attention.

A video of the incident has surfaced showing the bus being overturned due to overspeed. Police have launched an inquiry into the incident.
