Prince and Princess of Wales Lead First Garden Party at Buckingham Palace

Prince and Princess of Wales hosted their first Buckingham Palace Garden Party 2026 on Friday on behalf of King Charles remaining royal tradition celebrating entities making beneficial impact on society.

The party just after another garden party at Buckingham Palace hosted by King Charles earlier in the week. On Friday, the monarch stepped aside, giving the Prince and Princess of Wales the lead in the celebrations.

The future King and Queen were greeted Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, as well as their cousin Zara Tindall.

Prince William and Princess Kate hosted the Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in a second time, their first event was in 2025.

During last year’s event, the couple paid tribute to people for their significant community contributions, like the guests also included the family of the late photographer Liz Hatton, whom the couple had met at Windsor Castle.

Guests from the couple’s patronages, military connections, and charitable initiatives, are the more focus of this year’s event. Among those invited were Rhian Mannings, founder of the bereavement support charity 2wish, and Sam Stables, whose organization aims to combat mental health stigma within agricultural communities.

This event presented royal generosity and greeted guests from all over the UK in gratitude of their public service and charitable contributions.
