Presidential Awards Recognise Courage, Talent, and Public Service

This year, the inaugural ceremony for the Presidential Awards was held in Islamabad conferred by Asif Ali Zardari, where the President given awards upon various, national and international personalities for their exceptional services in health, education, literature, journalism, arts, diplomacy, sports, and counter-terrorism.

Yousaf Raza Gillani, Ayaz Sadiq and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari attended the event accompanied by diplomats, ministers, and military officials.

Late Nawabzada Nasurllah Khan and late Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui, and Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi granted Nishan-e-Imtiaz.

Hilal-e-Imtiaz recipients included Sardar Owais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Muhammad Ali, Muazzam Jahan Ansari, Engineer Jamaluddin Ahmed, Mirza Rizwan Baig, Muhammad Yousuf Khan, Dr Ameer Muhammad, Prof Dr Ikram-ul-Haq, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Zahra Majid Ali, Shahid Afridi, Shahroze Kashif, the late Malik Ata Muhammad Khan, Ihtesham-ul-Haq, Azeeruddin Bolani, and the late Taj Haider.

In this presidential award ceremony various Pakistani actors’ personalities Including Zahid Ahmed, Fazila Qazi were the celebrities who got awards as well. Zahid Ahmed received the Tamgha-e-Husn-e-Karkardagi for his excellent acting in projects like Ishq Zahe Naseeb, while Fazila Qazi was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for her remarkable services to Pakistani television.

Dozens of brave martyrs and officers including Sepoy Azhar Mehmood Shaheed, Shah Wali Khan Shaheed, Muhammad Ijaz Khan Shaheed, Laiq Zada Khan Shaheed, Alamzeb Shaheed, Jawad Qamar, Javedullah Khan Mehsud, Nawab Ali Khan Shaheed, Hidayatullah Shaheed, Inspector Sharjeel Rizwan Shaheed, and many other personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty were conferred Hilal-e-Shujaat and Sitara-e-Shujaat.

For solidification bonds with Pakistan, Bahraini diplomat Muhammad Ibrahim Muhammad Abdul Qadir received Sitara-e-Pakistan

The expressive ceremony honored courage, dedication, and lifelong contributions made by these personalities for the country and society.
