DG ISPR Holds Special Session at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Islamabad

A special interactive session was held at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, where representatives of Inter-Services Public Relations engaged with students, faculty members, and university administration on key national security issues.

During the visit, the DG ISPR received a warm welcome from students and teachers. The session focused on critical topics including counterterrorism strategies, hybrid warfare threats, information warfare, and the growing challenges of misinformation in the digital age.

Officials from ISPR addressed a wide range of questions raised by students, providing detailed and reasoned responses aimed at improving awareness about Pakistan’s security environment and responsible digital behavior.

Participants appreciated the session, stating that many misconceptions were clarified and that they gained valuable insight into the importance of verifying information before sharing it on social media. They emphasized that responsible use of digital platforms is essential to counter fake news and propaganda.

Speakers highlighted that Pakistan’s national achievements and resilience have strengthened the country’s global standing, while also paying tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces in maintaining national security.

The Vice Chancellor of the university emphasized that the younger generation must play a constructive role in ensuring Pakistan’s stability and development through positive engagement and awareness.

Students from various regions, including Waziristan, praised the session as highly informative and impactful, noting that it strengthened their understanding of national defense challenges and media responsibility.
