Iran Claims 28 Vessels Cross Strait of Hormuz in 24 Hours

The IRGC reported that 28 ships, including oil tankers, container ships and other commercial vessels, had safely navigated the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours.

A statement issued by the Guards’ navy said that, ‘under the supervision and security of the Revolutionary Guards Navy,’ all of these ships had passed through the Strait of Hormuz.

The statement added that control over the Strait of Hormuz was continuous, firm and with full authority, in order to ensure security and order in this important global sea route.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important energy transport corridors, through which a large amount of global oil passes, and the effects of any tension in the region are immediately felt on global markets.
