Nvidia launches new AI laptop chip for Windows PCs

Nvidia has introduced a powerful new laptop chip designed for Windows computers, aiming to strengthen its position in the growing market of artificial intelligence-powered personal PCs.

The company’s latest move is seen as a challenge to major tech competitors such as Apple, Intel, and AMD. However, analysts believe that the new devices may come with a high price due to their advanced features.

Nvidia, which has become one of the most valuable companies in the world due to the AI boom, is now looking to expand beyond data center processors into the consumer PC market. The company already earns huge profits from global demand for AI chips used in large-scale computing systems.

During the launch event ahead of Computex, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said, “Microsoft and Nvidia are going to reinvent the PC. This is going to be the new PC,” as the company introduced RTX Spark.

He added, “If you want to run digital biology, no problem. If you want to do seismic processing, no problem. You want astrophysics, no problem,” highlighting the chip’s wide range of capabilities.

Huang also said, “Microsoft and Nvidia meticulously optimised everything so that this computer literally runs everything the world has ever created, plus it now runs agents, an incredible computer.”

The company believes this new technology will shape the future of personal computing by combining traditional PC use with advanced AI features.
