Balochistan ends mandatory school uniform requirement
QUETTA: The Balochistan government has removed the requirement for school uniforms at the primary level as part of new education reforms aimed at improving literacy and access to education across the province.
According to officials, the decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, where several key reforms for the education sector were approved.
The government also decided to introduce a double-shift system in 900 schools. This step is expected to increase student enrollment and make better use of existing school facilities.
In addition, authorities agreed to eliminate the “tat culture” from government schools and provide desks in all institutions to improve basic learning conditions.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said the reforms are designed to improve the overall quality of education and create better learning environments for students in Balochistan.
