Sindh police blacklist 40,000 vehicles in Karachi

Sindh Police have blacklisted around 40,000 vehicles in Karachi under the Safe City project. Enforcement action is set to begin from July 1.

According to officials, the blacklisted vehicles include those that were sold but not transferred to new owners, vehicles with incomplete ownership records, and those with unpaid government dues.

Authorities said the blacklist has been finalised. Action will be taken against non-compliant vehicles, which may include impounding as well as fines for owners who fail to update their records.

Citizens have been urged to immediately check their vehicle status through the official online portal and complete ownership transfers before July 1 if their vehicle appears on the list.

Officials said the step is aimed at improving record accuracy, ensuring proper compliance with registration laws, and strengthening enforcement under the Safe City program.
