King Charles Removes Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s Final Royal Privilege

17 June, 2026 17:19

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has reportedly received another setback following his exclusion from this year’s Garter Day events. He was left out from all parts of the ceremony, containing the Order of the Garter procession.

The former Duke of York, aged 66 has already been excluded from royal duties because of his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Last year, he lost his royal titles including “Prince” and “Duke of York,” and was earlier removed from the Order of the Garter.

This led to his absence from Monday’s celebrations at Windsor Castle, where senior royals including King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales took part.

He was also reportedly asked to return his Garter robes, which he had worn at the 2023 coronation, and sources say the exclusion has been hard for him emotionally.

Even though Andrew was barred from public royal events in 2022, e was still occasionally present at private family events. However, this decision resulted in his complete exclusion from every part of the ceremony.

At the same time, Royal family is busy with Trooping the Colour, Royal Ascot, and other upcoming celebrations, including Prince William’s birthday later this week.
