The Pakistani Consulate General in Dubai has announced a major relief for passport applicants by ending the requirement for advance appointments.

According to the consulate, Pakistani citizens can now visit the consulate directly during working hours on any business day to apply for passport services without booking an appointment beforehand.

Passport applications can be submitted from Monday to Thursday between 7:00 am and 1:00 pm. On Fridays, services will be available from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.

The consulate said the new system is designed to make passport services easier and more accessible for the Pakistani community living in the United Arab Emirates.

The consulate has also announced updated passport fees. For five-year passports, a 36-page passport costs AED 110 under normal processing and AED 180 for urgent processing. A 72-page passport costs AED 200 normally and AED 325 urgently, while a 100-page passport costs AED 220 normally and AED 435 urgently.

For ten-year passports, the fee for a 36-page passport is AED 160 under normal processing and AED 270 for urgent service. A 72-page passport costs AED 300 normally and AED 485 urgently. A 100-page passport costs AED 325 under normal processing and AED 650 for urgent issuance.

Meanwhile, authorities are also working on a digital payment system for passport fees. During a recent meeting between officials of the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports and NADRA, both sides agreed to improve cooperation.

Plans were approved to introduce QR code-based payments through digital platforms such as JazzCash, EasyPaisa, and 1LINK, making fee payments more convenient for applicants.
