Israeli Strike in Gaza City Kills Family Officials Say

Israeli forces carried out strikes in the Gaza Strip overnight, hitting a residential home in Gaza City and killing a father and his two daughters while they were asleep, according to Palestinian media reports. The mother was also wounded in the attack and later died from her injuries on Saturday.

Medical sources cited by the news agency said the strike targeted a building on al-Thalatini Street in Gaza City in the early hours of the morning. Several other people were reported injured, while local authorities said the overall death toll from overnight strikes in the area had risen to at least five.

Separately, reports from Palestinian officials indicated heavy gunfire from Israeli naval vessels off the southern coast of Gaza. The situation in the enclave remains highly volatile, with continued military activity and rising civilian casualties reported amid ongoing conflict.
