Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Iranian President Pezeshkian, Discusses Regional Peace and Stability

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), held a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the two sides exchanged views on regional developments and ongoing peace initiatives.

During the meeting, the Iranian president commended Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in promoting dialogue, de-escalation, and stability across the region. He recognised Pakistan’s continued efforts to support the peaceful resolution of disputes and to build understanding among regional stakeholders, particularly amid rising geopolitical tensions.

In response, Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s statement: “unwavering commitment to peace and stability in the region.”

Both leaders agreed to further deepen Pakistan-Iran relations and to maintain close consultation on matters of shared interest, with the common goal of promoting peace, prosperity, and stability throughout the region.
