ISPR Confirms Three Rangers Martyred in Karachi Camp Attack

KARACHI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, a Pakistan Rangers Sindh camp in Karachi was attacked by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar militants allegedly backed by India. A swift response by Rangers troops stopping the assailants from entering the camp.

The attack took place on June 27 when the militants blew up the camp’s main gate and tried to force their way inside. During the exchange of fire, three attackers were killed, while another injured suspect was arrested according to ISPR.

Confirmed by ISPR, that three Rangers personnel sacrificed their lives, and four others were injured while defending the camp.

Authorities said, a clearance operation to locate and eliminate any remaining militants.

The military’s media wing said Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign.

ISPR also said Pakistan will take action against those responsible for the attack to avenge the martyred soldiers. The Army Chief and the Chief of Defence Forces expressed their condolences to the families of the fallen personnel.

“The sacrifices of our soldiers only strengthen our resolve to protect the country at all costs,” the ISPR said.
