Salman Khan’s 50-Year Stay at Galaxy Apartments May Be Coming to an End

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has lived in Mumbai’s famous Galaxy Apartment which family since 1974, in Bollywood this home is marked one of the well-known celebrity homes. However, recent reports suggest the superstar may be preparing to move after nearly 50 years.

As per media reports,Salman has received approval to build a new six-storey residential building in Bandra’s Chimbai area near by his current home. . The endorsement was approved by the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) on June 16.

The space where the new building will be constructed is in the name of Salma Khan, his mother. There was once a double-storey house house on the land, but was smashed after it was declared unfit for use.

The building plan contains a ground floor, support parking, and six domestic floors, layer about 1,014 square metres, and will be established by Sach Developers.

In October 2025, the development got personalize agreement from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). With environmental approval in place, for building to move forward.

No trees on the property will be cut as part of the plan; and new native ones will be planted.

The move comes after a firing incident outside Galaxy Apartments, reportedly linked to the Bishnoi gang, following which Salman Khan’s security was increased to Y+ level.

Given that the new property is on a peaceful street off the main road, it should ensure greater privacy and stronger security for the Khan family

However, there has been no official confirmation from Salman Khan or his family on whether they plan to move into the new home once it is completed.
