At least 14 Children Die as Tuition Centre Collapses in Lahore, Owners Arrested

A tragic roof collapse at a private tuition centre in the Kahna area of Lahore on Tuesday has left at least 14 children dead and several others injured, officials confirmed after rescue operations concluded.

Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazeer said a total of 20 people were trapped under the rubble when the roof caved in. Speaking to Geo News, he confirmed that 14 children were brought dead to the Kahna Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, while two minors were discharged after receiving treatment. He added that the remaining four injured patients were in stable condition and “out of danger.”

Lahore DIG Operations Faisal Kamran also confirmed the fatalities, while rescue teams completed recovery efforts at the site. Authorities said the injured were immediately shifted to nearby medical facilities as emergency services responded to the incident.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collapse, with officials examining the structural condition of the building and whether safety regulations were followed at the private tuition centre.
