Punjab launches more than 15 electric buses for Murree

The district administration of Murree has received more than 15 electric buses under a Punjab government project to reduce pollution and improve public transport for both residents and tourists.

Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi announced the arrival of the buses while speaking to the media. He said the project is an important step towards promoting eco-friendly and modern transport in the hill station.

He said the electric buses will help reduce air pollution and carbon emissions, making it easier to protect Murree’s natural environment. The buses will provide safe, comfortable and affordable travel for local people as well as the millions of Pakistani and foreign tourists who visit Murree every year.

The Deputy Commissioner said the buses are fitted with modern technology to provide a better travel experience for passengers.

He also said that electric charging stations will be set up across Murree to ensure the buses operate without interruption. The buses will run on major roads, popular tourist spots and busy routes across the area.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, the Punjab government remains committed to the development of Murree by investing in modern infrastructure and environment-friendly projects.
