Four Killed in Israeli Drone Strike in Southern Lebanon Reports Say

At least four people, including three women, were killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon, according to local media reports. The incident is described as a new escalation in the region despite a US-mediated framework agreement aimed at reducing hostilities.

Local reports said a drone fired a guided missile at a passing vehicle near a teachers’ training institute in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, killing all occupants. The victims were reported to include a school principal, her mother, a Syrian national, and a domestic worker.

Lebanese national media also reported a separate strike near the Ali Taher Ridge area in the same region, noting that the area has been repeatedly targeted in recent days. The reported attack comes despite a framework agreement signed in Washington on June 26 between Lebanese authorities and Israel under US mediation, which was intended to ease tensions along the border.
