Araghchi Says Iranians Remain United After Khamenei Funeral

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said millions of Iranians gathered in unity to pay tribute to the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, during funeral ceremonies held in Qom. In a post on X following the event on Tuesday, Araghchi said the turnout reflected the Iranian people’s commitment to Khamenei’s legacy and national solidarity.
Araghchi also said that neither the Iranian people nor the country’s armed forces would be deterred by threats. His remarks came amid heightened regional tensions, as Iranian officials continue to emphasize resilience and national unity following Khamenei’s death.
The funeral ceremonies began on Friday with Khamenei lying in state at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla, where foreign dignitaries and religious figures paid their respects. Public farewell events and funeral prayers followed over the weekend before the final ceremonies in Qom, drawing large crowds of mourners from across the country.
