Qalibaf Says Khamenei Assassination Will Be Avenged, Vows Iran Will Remain Resolute

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said those responsible for the assassination of the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, would ultimately face punishment, adding that his death had strengthened the resolve of the Iranian people. In a message issued on Monday, Qalibaf praised the large funeral procession and said the Islamic Republic would continue to stand firmly in the face of challenges.

Qalibaf described public mourning for Khamenei as “an epic of awareness and resolve,” saying it had renewed momentum for what he called the ultimate victory of Iran and the broader Islamic world. He also said the late leader’s legacy had reinforced national unity and determination during a period of heightened tensions.

The parliament speaker further referred to recent public demonstrations, saying they reflected widespread opposition among Iranians toward the United States and Israel. His remarks came as officials continued to emphasize national solidarity following Khamenei’s death and the funeral ceremonies held across Iran.
