Iran Warns It Will Target Any Support for US Military Following Fresh Strikes

TEHRAN: Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a warning that any source of association for what it described as the “aggressor U.S. army” would be considered a legitimate threat for the Iranian Armed Forces. The statement was issued on Wednesday following what Tehran said were new U.S. strikes that violated the ceasefire and breached the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

According to the statement, the United States made attacks on sites in southern Iran, igniting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes against U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf region and other positions. Iranian authorities accused Washington of violating Iran’s sovereignty and escalating tensions.

The military headquarters also said that the only safe passage for commercial vessels and oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz is the route designated by Iran. It warned that Tehran would not permit any outside interference with the management and laws described by Iran.
