Millions Gather in Karbala after Najaf for Funeral Procession of Martyred Ayatollah Khamenei

Millions of mourners gathered in the holy city of Karbala on Wednesday for the final funeral procession in Iraq of the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Large crowds was present the streets as the funeral ceremonies continued following an earlier gathering in Najaf.

According to estimates from Hashd al-Shaabi, more than four million mourners participated in the Karbala procession, with crowds arriving hours before the official ceremonies began. The event followed a farewell ceremony in Najaf, where millions of mourners reportedly gathered around the shrine of Imam Ali (AS).

The body of Ayatollah Khamenei, along with the remains of family members who were also martyred, was transported from Najaf to Karbala via the Arbaeen road. The procession included visits to the shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) as part of the commemorative ceremonies.
