Four Israeli Settlers Arrested After Attack on CNN Crew in Occupied West Bank

Israeli police arrested four Israeli settlers on Saturday following an attack on a CNN news crew near the village of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank. Authorities said officers responded to reports of damaged vehicles carrying foreign journalists, secured the journalists’ safe passage, and detained four suspects believed to have been involved in the incident.
According to CNN, its journalists were reporting in the area when a group of settlers blocked the road, preventing vehicles from leaving. The network said the attackers carried wooden and metal rods, stones, and that one individual brandished a knife while attempting to puncture the tires of the CNN vehicle. CNN also reported that the group tried to stop the journalists from moving forward.
The arrests come amid heightened tensions in the occupied West Bank, where attacks involving settlers and Palestinians have drawn increasing international attention. Israeli police said the suspects were taken into custody for questioning as the investigation into the incident continues.
