Ansarullah Vows to End Yemen Blockade, Warns Against Further Aggression

Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has pledged to end the long-running sea, land, and air blockade imposed on the country, warning that any future military aggression against Yemen would be met with a swift response. Speaking on Saturday, senior Ansarullah political bureau member Hizam al-Assad said Saudi Arabia had pursued hostile policies toward Yemen for decades and sought to strengthen its regional influence at Yemen’s expense.
Al-Assad claimed that the Saudi-led military intervention launched in 2015 was planned by the United States and carried out by Saudi Arabia with American political, military, and media support. He also alleged that former Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi and former Vice President Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar acted on behalf of Saudi Arabia, asserting that key decisions during the conflict were directed by the United States.
The Ansarullah official further accused Saudi Arabia of maintaining a blockade that has restricted flights to and from Sana’a International Airport since the conflict began. He also blamed the Saudi-led coalition for attacks on civilians, the destruction of infrastructure, and the worsening humanitarian crisis in Yemen, saying the blockade and years of war have caused widespread suffering across the country.
