Iran, Pakistan Stress Dialogue and Restraint to Preserve Regional Stability

Iran and Pakistan have reaffirmed the importance of restraint and diplomatic engagement during a phone conversation between their foreign ministers, as both countries expressed concern over the evolving regional situation. Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry.

During the call, the two ministers emphasized the need for de-escalation and restraint in line with the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). They agreed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective means of resolving differences and maintaining lasting peace and stability across the region.

Dar also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in supporting regional peace and stability. The conversation reflects ongoing diplomatic efforts by both countries to encourage peaceful engagement and reduce tensions amid heightened regional uncertainty.
