Association Says Funeral Gatherings Reflect Regional Opposition to Global Powers

The Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism has said the large public participation in farewell and funeral ceremonies for Iran’s Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, reflects what it described as growing awareness among nations regarding global political injustices.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the association said the gatherings in Iran and Iraq represented more than expressions of grief, calling them a rejection of terrorism and alleged crimes against humanity. The group described the public turnout as a response to what it termed an unjust international system.
The association also said that decades of sanctions, military pressure, and support for groups opposed to Iran had failed to weaken the country. It claimed that such policies had instead increased political awareness in the region and strengthened resistance against foreign influence.
