The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army said they carried out missile and drone strikes on US military positions in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan in response to American strikes on Iranian territory.

The IRGC said the attacks were part of “Operation Nasr 2” and targeted US military facilities in Kuwait, including a Patriot air defense system, a satellite communications center, a military depot, and HIMARS rocket launch platforms.

In a message to the people of Kuwait, the IRGC said the attacks were in response to US strikes on southern Iran. It added, “We have no enmity with you and we greatly love the noble people of Kuwait,” and urged Kuwaitis to “expel these child-killing occupiers from your land”.

In another statement, the IRGC said it targeted the US military base at al-Azraq in Jordan, claiming to have hit hangars for F-15, F-16, and F-35 fighter jets as well as MQ-9 drones.

The IRGC also claimed it struck facilities used by the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, including command centers, warehouses, fuel tanks, and military equipment. It also said it targeted Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain and Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

The Iranian Army announced the eighth phase of its “Saegheh” (Lightning) operations, saying it targeted US positions at al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan for the second time. According to the Army, destructive drones struck F-18 fighter jet shelters and large military equipment warehouses.

The IRGC also repeated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed “until the end of America’s mischief.”

The group added, “Oil and gas exports from the region are either for everyone or for no one.”
