Mohsen Rezaei Says Resistance Doctrine Strengthened Iran’s Global Standing

Former Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commander Major General Mohsen Rezaei has said Iran has achieved a position of global influence through the resistance doctrine promoted by the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. In remarks published on Wednesday, Rezaei described the late leader’s vision of resistance as both pragmatic and ideological, saying it provided Iran with a long-term strategy for preserving its independence in a challenging international environment.

According to Rezaei, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized relying on faith, public support, and national capabilities at a time when many countries were yielding to pressure from major powers. He said this approach presented what he described as a model of “active resistance” that enabled Iran to maintain its sovereignty and pursue an independent course.

Rezaei added that the concept of resistance was more than a political slogan, describing it as a comprehensive strategy aimed at safeguarding Iran’s independence, national dignity, and identity. He argued that this doctrine has continued to shape the country’s strategic outlook and its approach to regional and international affairs.
