US Imposes New Sanctions Targeting Iran-Linked Network and Foreign Entities

The US Department of the Treasury has announced a new round of counterterrorism-related sanctions targeting four individuals and several entities linked to Iran, Russia, Italy, and Nigeria. According to the Treasury, the measures are aimed at disrupting networks allegedly involved in supporting Iran’s nuclear and missile proliferation activities, as well as preventing the transfer of sensitive technologies.
Among those sanctioned are Iranian national Behrouz Namazi and an Iran-linked company. The sanctions also target Russia-based Euratek, Iran’s Nika Jet company, and Nigeria’s Vanguard Technical Supply, which US authorities allege were involved in facilitating prohibited activities connected to Iran’s procurement network.
The Treasury Department also updated sanctions-related designations involving Mexico’s Juarez Cartel and Los Viagras, adding further terrorism-related classifications. US officials said the latest measures are intended to combat terrorism financing, disrupt illicit procurement networks, and restrict access to technologies that could support weapons development.
