Petroleum Levy Unchanged as Government Announces New Fuel Prices
The Petroleum Division has retained the current petroleum levy on petrol, diesel, and kerosene issuing a notification despite the latest revision in fuel prices.
Under the notification, he petroleum levy continues at Rs80 per litre on petrol, Rs70.82 per litre on high-speed diesel, and Rs20.36 per litre on kerosene.
Under the new daily pricing mechanism, the government has unveiled new petroleum prices to remain in force for three days.
As per the recent alteration, raises the price of high-speed diesel by Rs31.05 per litre, setting the new retail rate at Rs354.35 per litre.
The government has upraised the price of petrol by Rs5.44 per litre, setting the fresh retail rate at Rs316.15 per litre.
For now, kerosene oil has become Rs34.33 per litre more expensive, increasing its price from Rs242.33 per litre to Rs276.66 per litre.
Fuel prices will now be reviewed and notified daily under the government’s newly introduced petroleum pricing mechanism.
