IRGC Claims Destruction of U.S. Military Aircraft During 15-Day Conflict

Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi, spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), claimed on Saturday that Iranian armed forces inflicted significant losses on U.S. military assets during the recent 15-day conflict, which he said lasted from July 8 to July 22. According to his statement, Iran destroyed 11 American fighter jets and helicopters while they were stationed at U.S. military bases across the region.

Mohebi further claimed that Iranian strikes destroyed 17 reconnaissance and operational drones, including eight that had not yet been deployed. He also alleged that an F-15 fighter jet inside a hangar, a P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, a C-17 military transport aircraft and eight aerial refueling aircraft were destroyed during the attacks.
