Banned Action Committee's Disarmament Claims Exposed After Rawalakot Arrest
The alleged claims by the banned Action Committee of being unarmed have been exposed following startling revelations by an arrested operative in Rawalakot.
A video reportedly shows armed members of the banned Action Committee carrying multiple weapons. According to the claims, armed elements of the group have been involved in targeting local people and security forces to create unrest in the area.
Sepoy Ali Abbas, who was seriously injured in firing allegedly carried out by the group’s operatives, was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement agencies arrested an armed operative, Zohaib Khalid, during an operation. The arrested suspect reportedly revealed that the group’s leader had provided modern American-made M4 rifles to its operatives to spread unrest.
An American-made rifle was also reportedly recovered from the arrested suspect.
According to Zohaib Khalid, the banned Action Committee had allegedly set a reward of Rs100 million for killing a Rangers or police personnel.
The revelations by the arrested operative, along with video evidence, have raised questions over the group’s claims that it is unarmed.
