Iran Drawn with China in AVC Women’s Volleyball Championship 2026

Iran has been drawn in Pool A alongside hosts China, Chinese Taipei, and Iraq for the 2026 AVC Women’s Volleyball Continental Championship, which will be held in Tianjin, China, from August 21 to 30. The tournament will feature 12 of Asia’s top national teams competing for the continental title as well as qualification for major international events.

The championship carries significant stakes, with the winners earning direct qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, while the top three teams will secure places at the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship. Defending champions Thailand headline Pool B with Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and Australia, while Pool C includes Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, and Hong Kong, China.

The 10-day tournament is expected to showcase the growing strength and competitiveness of women’s volleyball across Asia. With Olympic qualification, World Championship berths, and the continental crown on the line, the championship will bring together the region’s leading teams in one of the sport’s most important competitions.
