RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have killed 32 terrorists during operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operations were carried out as part of ongoing efforts against what the military described as Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan networks.

During the night of July 28 and 29, security forces conducted several intelligence-based operations and targeted searches in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to ISPR, 24 terrorists belonging to Fitna al Khwarij were killed during these operations.

In Balochistan’s Nushki district, security forces also carried out multiple intelligence-based operations. After an intense exchange of fire, eight terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan were killed.

Security forces also recovered and destroyed weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices used by the terrorists during the operations.

Sanitization operations are continuing in the affected areas to locate and eliminate any remaining terrorists and their facilitators.

The military said the ongoing counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm e Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
