Pakistani Major Martyred, Five Militants Killed in North Waziristan Operation: ISPR

Pakistan’s security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Razmak area of North Waziristan District, killing five suspected militants during an exchange of fire, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The military said the operation was launched after receiving intelligence about the presence of militants in the area.

ISPR said the five militants were killed and that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site. The statement referred to the militants as “Fitna al-Khawarij” and alleged they were supported by India.

The military also announced that Hafiz Ehsan Elahi was martyred during the operation. The 34-year-old officer, a resident of Mianwali district, was leading his troops and fought the militants “bravely,” according to ISPR. The military reiterated that Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to continuing operations against militant groups and eliminating terrorism from the country.
