Security Forces Intensify Operation Gharj-11 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Target Militant Hideouts

Security forces have intensified operations under Operation Gharj-11 across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past two months, targeting militant hideouts and disrupting their operational networks, according to security sources. The sources said multiple militants, referred to by the Pakistani state as khawarij, were killed during the operations, while several of their hideouts were destroyed.
According to security sources, operations in the Shakro area of Bajaur effectively targeted militant positions, with reports indicating that several militants were killed or injured. Security forces also arrested alleged facilitators and recovered a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives. Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) reportedly being used by the militants were also located and destroyed during the operation.
Security sources said the ongoing operations are aimed at forcing militant groups to abandon their strongholds while ensuring the protection of civilians and their property. They added that every effort is being made to prevent harm to the local population as security forces continue counterterrorism operations in the region.
