Here's How Kindle Users Can Claim Free Sci-Fi and Fantasy Ebooks in August
Book lovers will soon have another chance to fill their digital libraries for free. The next Stuff Your Kindle Day will take place on August 15–16, 2026, featuring hundreds of free sci-fi and fantasy ebooks from independent authors.
The event is organized by Book Below and is not officially run by Amazon. Its goal is to help indie writers reach new readers while allowing people to discover new books without spending any money.
During the 48-hour event, readers can visit the Book Below event directory, browse the available books, and click the Amazon link for any title they like. If the book is listed at $0, it can be added to their Kindle library and kept forever.
A Kindle device is not required to join the event. Readers can also download the free Kindle app on a smartphone, tablet, or computer to claim and read the books.
People outside the United States can also participate if the free ebooks are available in their local Amazon store. However, some titles may not be available in every country because of regional publishing restrictions.
Since the offer lasts only two days, readers are encouraged to mark their calendars and take advantage of the chance to discover new sci-fi and fantasy stories at no cost.
