Pakistan Highlights Makkah Joint Defence Agreement as Ishaq Dar Engages DRC President

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held discussions with President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and former President of Guinea-Bissau General Umaro Sissoco Embaló.

During the engagement, Ishaq Dar shared details of the recently signed Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, highlighting its importance for strengthening strategic cooperation and contributing to regional peace, stability, and security.

The agreement was presented as an important framework for enhancing defence cooperation among the participating countries and promoting closer strategic coordination.

Pakistan-DRC Relations Also Discussed

Ishaq Dar and President Tshisekedi also exchanged views on bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The two leaders agreed on the importance of further strengthening Pakistan-DRC cooperation, particularly through increased high-level exchanges and greater engagement between the two countries.

Ishaq Dar conveyed his best wishes to President Tshisekedi and the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The discussions reflect Pakistan’s continued diplomatic engagement with international partners while emphasizing strategic cooperation, regional stability, and stronger bilateral relations.
