‘Jana Nayagan’ OTT Release Date: When Will Vijay’s Final Film Stream?

The most anticipated Vijay’s film Jana Nayagan is now all set to stream on an OTT platform. Following certification-related delays, the film will now premiere on Zee5 Tamil on August 21.

The official Instagram account of Zee5 Tamil revealed the film’s digital premiere date through posted film’s teaser. The post revealed that Jana Nayagan will start streaming on August 21, allowing Vijay’s fans to enjoy Vijay’s latest film at home.

Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, is said to mark Vijay’s last film as an actor. The other cast of the film including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj and Narain will played important roles.

The plot of the story, Thalapathy Vetri Kondan, played by Vijay, who supports Viji, portrayed by Mamitha Baiju become self-reliant and follow her dream of joining the army. Things change for him when he comes confronted his old rival, John Himmler, played by Bobby Deol.

The film was initially to release in cinemas on January 9, but was on hold after the certification procedure was stuck. As per reports, the film finally hit theatres on July 23.

Even before its theatrical release, the film remained in the spotlight due to the certification delay with reports saying some changes were requested during the review.

With its theatrical run now over, Jana Nayagan is all set for its OTT release. Viewers will be able to watch the film on Zee5 Tamil from August 21.
