Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from Brazilian Foreign Minister Ambassador Mauro Vieira, during which the two sides discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
The Brazilian Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and diplomatic efforts in the US-Iran context, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in promoting global peace and security.
Mauro Vieira also congratulated Ishaq Dar on Pakistan’s signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
Ishaq Dar thanked the Brazilian Foreign Minister for his goodwill and appreciated Brazil’s important contribution to strengthening South-South cooperation and promoting peace and stability.
The two foreign ministers emphasized the importance of maintaining regular high-level contacts and enhancing coordination at the United Nations and other multilateral forums.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to multilateralism, dialogue and diplomacy while exchanging views on key regional and international developments.
The two ministers agreed to remain closely engaged to further strengthen Pakistan-Brazil relations and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Ishaq Dar invited his Brazilian counterpart to visit Pakistan, while Mauro Vieira reciprocated by inviting the Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Brazil.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact and work towards further deepening the friendly relations between Pakistan and Brazil.
