12 Rabi-ul-Awwal: Leaders Urge Nation to Follow Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the blessed occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, expressing profound reverence for the birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He said the Holy Prophet ﷺ provided humanity with a complete code of life based on faith, knowledge, morality and justice. Shehbaz Sharif said this year’s 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal is being observed under the theme “Protecting, Interpreting and Building the Character of the New Generation,” stressing the need to instill truthfulness, integrity and hard work among young people and encouraging them to contribute to national development through education, research and service.

Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also congratulated the nation and the entire Muslim Ummah, saying the Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ represents an eternal light of mercy, justice, compassion and peace for all humanity. He said the Prophet’s ﷺ message transcends all boundaries of time and place, adding that true human welfare lies in following his exemplary life. Bilawal emphasized standing with the oppressed, supporting the vulnerable, practicing forgiveness and respecting the dignity and rights of every human being as fundamental teachings of the Prophet ﷺ.

President Asif Ali Zardari described 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal as a blessed day that renews the memory of Allah Almighty’s great blessing, saying the birth of the Holy Prophet ﷺ marked the beginning of a bright era for humanity. He said the Prophet ﷺ replaced the darkness of ignorance with knowledge and guidance and established an enduring example of justice and equality. Zardari stressed that love for the Prophet ﷺ should be demonstrated through adherence to his Seerat and Sunnah, while promoting inter-sectarian and interfaith harmony. He also prayed for Pakistan’s peace, stability and prosperity, asking Allah Almighty to make the country a source of Khair and security for all humanity.
