BLA Terrorists Attack in Saranan, Four Workers Martyred and One Injured

Four workers were martyred and another was injured when terrorists of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) opened fire on labourers working on a road construction project in Saranan, Balochistan.

The innocent workers became victims of terrorism while carrying out construction work, highlighting the continued threat posed by terrorist elements targeting development projects and ordinary citizens.

The provincial leadership strongly condemned the attack and expressed grief over the martyrdom of the workers. The Chief Minister, Interior Minister and Governor of Balochistan said there would be no leniency for those responsible for shedding the blood of innocent labourers.

The latest incident comes amid a series of attacks targeting civilians and workers in Balochistan. The killing and abduction of labourers in Turbat, the killing of a mother and daughter in Nushki and an attack on a passenger bus in Mastung have raised further concerns over the targeting of innocent people.

Targeting workers, passengers and women reflects the anti-public character of terrorist elements and their attempts to create fear and instability across Balochistan.

The state has maintained that terrorism is being used to obstruct development, investment and employment opportunities in the province. Attacks on roads and development projects are seen as attempts to deprive local communities of economic opportunities and prevent Balochistan from progressing.

Authorities have reiterated that intelligence-based operations against terrorist networks are continuing under the national counterterrorism efforts.

The state has also reaffirmed its determination to eliminate terrorism and prevent hostile elements from disrupting peace, development and economic activity in Balochistan.
