Iran to Replicate Successful Air Defense Systems After US-Israeli Aggression

The commander of Iran’s Army Air Defense Force, Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, says systems that performed successfully during the recent US-Israeli aggression will be replicated, while new equipment and tactics are being developed based on lessons learned from the conflict. Speaking at a ceremony at a specialized hospital affiliated with the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force on Wednesday, Elhami praised the performance of Iran’s Armed Forces, particularly its air defense units, in confronting aerial attacks.

Elhami said the Army’s Air Defense Force is currently operating at “100-percent readiness,” adding that both the Army’s air defense units and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ air defense forces remain fully prepared. He said Iran is maintaining comprehensive surveillance along all of its borders, with the country’s integrated air defense network continuously monitoring its airspace to detect and respond to potential threats.

Rejecting claims that Iran’s air defense capabilities had been destroyed, Elhami pointed to the recent downing of a high-value US military drone as evidence that the country retains effective defensive capabilities. He questioned how Iran could have intercepted strategic drones and fighter jets if its air defense systems had been completely destroyed, stressing that the successful engagements demonstrate the continued operational capability of the country’s air defense network.
