Pezeshkian: Iran-US MoU Can Prevent Regional Destabilization

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said implementation of the memorandum of understanding reached between Iran and the United States in June could prevent Washington and Israel from creating chaos and instability in West Asia. Speaking on Saturday, Pezeshkian said the Pakistan-mediated agreement, intended to pave the way for a permanent end to the war, could enable regional countries to pursue stability and development through unity, cooperation and greater convergence.

Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran does not seek war but will firmly confront any aggressor. He said no power could force a nation that stands with determination and strength to surrender, stressing that Iran would not bow to threats despite continuing to pursue diplomacy. He attributed the country’s resilience to the support of the Iranian people, the efforts of government officials and the dedication of the Armed Forces’ commanders.

The Iranian president called for greater national unity and cohesion, saying Iran could overcome its challenges through solidarity and implementation of the MoU. He also urged Muslim countries to strengthen unity and cooperation to thwart what he described as enemy schemes, emphasizing that lasting peace and stability in the world must begin from within the West Asia region.
