Gold Prices Rise Slightly in Pakistan as Global Market Trends Push Rates Higher
KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Tuesday in line with a drop in international bullion rates.
According to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs800, reaching Rs465,336.
The price of 10-gram gold also decreased by Rs686 to Rs398,950.
In the international market, gold prices declined by $8 per ounce to reach $4,428, including a premium of $20.
The latest decline follows a drop recorded in Pakistan’s domestic gold market on Monday, when the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs1,800 to Rs466,136.
Silver prices also recorded a decrease in the local market.
The price of silver fell by Rs50 per tola, bringing it down to Rs7,129.
The movement in domestic bullion prices continues to closely track developments in international precious metals markets, with changes in global gold prices influencing rates in Pakistan.
