Dengue Cases Rise in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Total Reaches 581

PESHAWAR: Dengue cases are continuing to increase in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the total number of confirmed cases reaching 581 this year, according to the provincial health department.

Officials said 3,487 suspected dengue cases have been reported across the province so far this year.

During the past week, 98 new dengue cases were confirmed in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the health department, 220 dengue cases have been confirmed in Peshawar during the current year.

The provincial capital recorded 33 new cases over the past week, indicating a continued rise in dengue infections.

The health department said 209 dengue cases have been reported in Kohat this year, making it one of the districts with a significant number of confirmed infections.

Health authorities are monitoring the situation across the province as the number of cases continues to increase.

Despite the rise in dengue infections, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department said no deaths from dengue have been reported in the province this year.

Authorities are continuing surveillance and monitoring of suspected and confirmed cases across affected districts.
