Chitral Residents Join Others in Supporting New Provinces

Like people in other parts of the country, residents of Chitral are also supporting the idea of creating new provinces.

The creation of new provinces has become an important need for sustainable development, balanced regional progress and better governance in the country.

Keeping administrative reforms in view, citizens of Chitral have supported the proposal to create a new province consisting of Chitral, Swat and Dir districts.

Chitral residents said that creating new administrative units and smaller provinces is necessary to improve governance and public services.

They said Chitral is a large district in terms of area, and creating a separate province by including Dir and Swat would be a positive decision.

Citizens said that under the current system, it is very difficult for ordinary people to reach the chief minister and other provincial officials.

They said smaller provinces or administrative units would make it easier for people to access government officials and resolve their problems.

According to the citizens, a smaller province would have positive effects not only on the people of Chitral but also on the country as a whole.

They said a new administrative structure and smaller provinces could help reduce the gap between the public and state institutions and improve service delivery.

Citizens believe that administrative reforms and the creation of smaller provinces would be an important step in the national and local interest.
