Iran Judiciary Chief Praises 200 Nights of Nationwide Demonstrations

Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei has praised more than 200 consecutive nights of nationwide street demonstrations in support of the country’s armed forces, describing the public mobilization as a major setback to what he called the enemy’s calculations. In a message of gratitude released Tuesday, Ejei said people across Iranian cities had gathered in streets and squares to express support for the country’s fighters during what he described as an “existential war against global arrogance.”

Ejei equated the prolonged demonstrations with the efforts of frontline forces and invoked the legacy of late IRGC Quds Force commander Major General Qassem Soleimani, who described Iran as a “shrine.” He said the Iranian people had effectively transformed the country’s streets into a shrine during the 200-night vigil, praising their “zeal and honor” and describing their participation as a show of solidarity with the fighters of the Resistance.

The judiciary chief also praised what he characterized as the demonstrators’ unity around the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, saying the gatherings demonstrated that attempts to weaken the relationship between the Iranian public and the Islamic Republic had failed. According to Ejei, the sustained demonstrations exposed the failure of the opposing camp’s psychological and political strategy and showed what he described as the Iranian people’s “deep, profound belief” in the Islamic Republic.
