Fuel Relief Scheme to Launch Nationwide on September 16

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on Tuesday to review administrative arrangements for the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme, directing authorities to make the registration process simple and accessible for the public. He stressed the need for effective measures to ensure that the maximum number of eligible people benefit from the initiative.

Dar also directed officials to ensure the smooth and effective implementation of the scheme at petrol pumps across the country. He said elected representatives, on the Prime Minister’s instructions, should raise public awareness about the scheme and facilitate citizens in completing the registration process. Authorities were further instructed to mobilize volunteers to assist with public awareness and registration.

According to a briefing at the meeting, the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme will be launched nationwide at 11:59 p.m. on September 16. The meeting was attended by the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Minister for IT, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Minister of State for Finance, elected members of the National Assembly from Islamabad, the IT secretary and other senior officials.
