Indonesian Navy Chief Visits Pakistan, Discusses Maritime Cooperation

Indonesian Navy Chief Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali visited Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, where he met Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf. According to ISPR, Admiral Muhammad Ali was presented with a guard of honor upon arrival and later laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial. The two sides discussed bilateral naval cooperation and regional maritime security.

Pakistan and Indonesia agreed to further strengthen naval cooperation through training programs, reciprocal visits and joint maritime exercises. The Indonesian Navy chief also appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s efforts to promote security and stability in the region’s maritime domain.

During his visit, Admiral Muhammad Ali also met Pakistan Navy field commanders in Karachi and held discussions with the Managing Director of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works. He visited a Pakistan Navy fleet unit and the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre as part of his engagements. His visit is expected to contribute to further strengthening defense and maritime cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia.
