Ishaq Dar, Turkish Ambassador Discuss Strengthening Pakistan-Türkiye Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Türkiye Irfan Neziroğlu called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, with discussions focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye.

The Turkish ambassador briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on progress under various bilateral institutional mechanisms aimed at expanding cooperation across multiple areas following recent high-level interactions between the two countries.

Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening engagement with Türkiye in key priority areas.

He emphasised the need for relevant departments on both sides to maintain close coordination in preparations for the upcoming Joint Commission and the 8th session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC).

The Deputy Prime Minister said effective coordination would be important for advancing the bilateral agenda and translating recent high-level understandings into practical cooperation.

The two sides also exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and developments of mutual concern.

Ishaq Dar stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving disputes and achieving lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

The meeting reflects continued high-level engagement between Pakistan and Türkiye and efforts to further strengthen institutional cooperation and bilateral relations.
